Description

Grey Raven Technologies is a Riga-based defence-tech startup building a reusable UAV training munition system. It's already field-tested and used in military training in Europe.

We're now expanding to Asia and looking for a Business Developer for South Korea and Japan. You'll open our first doors in two of the world's most advanced drone and defence markets: research the landscape, find the right partners and customers, start conversations, and help turn them into demos, pilots and deals.

You'll work directly with the founders and play a key role in our international growth.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Fluent or professional Korean and/or Japanese, plus good English
  • Understanding of South Korean and/or Japanese business culture
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with cold outreach
  • Self-driven, organised and results-focused
  • Curiosity about drones and defence tech (we'll teach you the product)

Nice to have:

  • Sales, business development or partnerships experience
  • Experience in defence, security, aerospace or B2B tech
  • Network in the Korean or Japanese defence / drone ecosystem
  • Experience with trade shows, distributors or government procurement

Duties

  • Map the South Korean and Japanese markets: defence companies, UAV manufacturers, training centres, distributors and integrators
  • Identify decision-makers and run outreach (email, LinkedIn, local channels, calls)
  • Book and run intro and demo calls, adapting our pitch to local expectations
  • Help translate and localise sales materials
  • Move leads to demos, pilots and deals
  • Find relevant trade shows, events and partnership opportunities
  • Keep a simple sales pipeline and report market insights to the founders

Proposal

  • Commission-only: no fixed salary. You earn a percentage of every deal you bring in
  • High upside, since defence deal sizes are large
  • Remote and flexible: work from Korea, Japan or anywhere, alongside your studies
  • Potential equity (shares) for strong performers
  • A chance to lead a whole region and grow with the company
