Description
The Export/Import Specialist coordinates the move of goods exported and imported to/from countries within and outside of EMEA region. He/she reviews /prepares the documentation and ensures compliance with customs regulations. He/she is a key communication link between the external customers and Cabot Corporation. The Export/Import Specialist is accountable for ensuring that customers receive the best support possible.
Requirements
- Customer orientated mindset, previous experience working with customersStress resistance. Adapting with flexibility to a fast moving environment
- Able to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fluent in English, knowledge of German or French will be an advantage
- Will be considered an advantage: Practical knowledge of international trade, ocean and air freight shipping documentation, custom regulations and procedures
- 1-2 years of experience related to international transportation or customer service
Duties
- Manage Customer orders from receipt to delivery. Coordinate movement of the shipment with forwarder and keep the customer well informed of any changes.Work to find solutions when issues occur to satisfy customer needs.
- Organize, co-ordinate and execute deliveries with Freight forwarders. Coordinate the customs formalities, import/export formalities, and transportation activities.
- Review and prepare the export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, booking instructions, export declarations, bill of lading, export/import certificates, etc. Ensure related import/export documents are made available on time to allow receipt of goods.
- Handle orders under letter of credit as defined and check legal compliance of export/import transaction.
- Manage and follow up interregional replenishment orders from entry to delivery, based on supply plan delivered by the planning group.
- Interact with other departments in an effective, clear and precise way.
