Description
A university graduate or student who is practicing and being trained at various institutions of the European Union. Trainees work in international environment, so the main language is English, French or German. Mostly it is work at office. Unpaid traineeships are offered to students who are required to complete a compulsory training period as part of their studies. The traineeships can be from 1 to 5 months, depending on the requirements of the educational establishment.
Tasks:
1. Doing all the tasks given by the superior
2. Assisting other professionals.
3. Attending and organising meetings
4. Summing up statistical data
5. Communicating with non-governmental organisations of the EU level
6. Using equipment such as computer, printer, scanner, paper, folders, writing materials
7. Making a report of his or her progress at the end of practice
Key Skills for Trainees:
A Bachelor degree is required or a relevant diploma. The European Commission representation offices in all European Union member states offer unpaid trainship programmes for university students.
