Becama is a new start-up and we are looking for someone to join us in the process of creating something we care about. Therefore this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of something new and experience how a company is being built.
Becama started as a concept to improve an outdated process to match the 21st century. Companies are constantly taking to the "asset-less" trend (Uber, Just Eat, AirBnB), working as intermediaries, connecting groups with matching supply and demand to one another. Thus far there has been a lot of progress on the hospitality side, but there is a part of the industry which has been overlooked due to a series of compromises in the recruiting process. Business owners have the luxury of posting an online ad on Gumtree, for job seekers to see. In other words the lining up of candidates is quick, but the convenience just about ends here. The owners next steps involve spending valuable time looking through 100+ CVs, picking out interviewees with little to no grounds for referencing, especially if the candidate is from outside of the UK. Not to mention, where reference checks are performed, you always risk your applicant receiving a glittering review from their best friend, rather than someone they ever worked for. Furthermore, once you have picked your new employees, there is no telling how well this will work out, and by the time you notice the lack of capacity, the new hire might have already cost the business a great amount in lost revenue
Career in company
Responsibilities of the intern would include:
- Social media/marketing adverts
- Market research
- Getting in touch with restaurant owners
- Using LinkedIn to find the right people
- Write to magazines/newspapers in order to attempt to achieve public exposure
- Video and photography for website/vlog
- Answering enquiries from potential students
- Calling around to set up meetings with restaurant owners
You would have a big part of the business launching and development process. Tto begin with the position is unpaid and is home-based, but if te partnership is succesfull we would offer you a paid online marketer position.
Praktikants būs liela daļa no uzņēmuma startēšanas un attīstības procesa. Sākotnēji pozīcija būs neatmaksāta un darbs būs no mājām, bet sakarā ar planiem atvērt offisu Rīgā, labas sadarbības rezultātā prakses pozicija pārtaptu apmaksātā darba vietā.
