Players or AI engage in duels, shooting each other with arrows in an effort to incapacitate or kill each other. The way a character acts could change if they get hurt in specific places. For instance, if you hurt your leg, you might have trouble walking, and if you hurt your arm, you might have trouble drawing or aiming the bow.
